MMD Spokesperson, Benny Tetamashimba has said President Rupiah Banda has done nothing to warrant an impeachment and has since vowed that the ruling party will defend the Head of State against the planned scheme by some opposition parties and some named Lusaka lawyers.

Last week the Monitor & Digest exposed a scheme by some opposition party leaders and some named Lusaka Lawyers that are drafting an impeachment motion against President Banda following the release of Dora Siliya tribunal findings.

Zambia’s false political crisis 

There will be many reasons for people to disagree. In fact, disagreeing is a very normal thing in life. The right to dissent, although not recognised as such per se, is a fundamental requirement in any functional society – particularly, that which espouses democracy.
